Dr Godwin Maduka commiserates with the Onitsha fire victim Yesterday morning at Modebe Avenue, Onitsha.
There were tears and a sense of relief as Dr Godwin Maduka arrived at the scene of the fire incident to commiserate with victims, not long he started giving out funds in tunes of millions to support the fire victims.
The report has it that victims of the inferno have made a passionate appeal to relevant government agencies, the general public and Dr Godwin Maduka Foundation to come for their aid but no one came for their aid not until, lion himself show up and dried their tears with the gift of cash and promise to do more.

According to reports, the fire which started late on Saturday’s night, the 18th day of September 2021, damaged so many properties worth millions of Naira.
It is still unclear whether there were casualties as we await official reports from the designated government agencies.
On the heels of that, a clarion call came to Dr Godwin Maduka’s Foundation yesterday morning, Sunday, the 19th day of September 2021, notifying the foundation about the fire disaster and yearning for help, although the fire as at that morning has been put off by firefighters and members of the public who came to the rescue.
After due investigation to ascertain the authenticity of the call and the unsavoury situation, Dr Maduka together with some members of his Foundation team arrived at the scene later to condole with the fire victims.
He made donations of millions to support the victims in taking care of their hospital bills and feeding for the time being and promise to support them starting business again.
Dr Maduka further promised to constantly check up on them while he called on the relevant government agencies to come to the aide of the Onitsha/Modebe fire victims.
It was a sight to behold as the fire victims could not contain their joy as many of them broke down in tears thanking Dr Maduka and praying fervently for God to bless him more abundantly and lead him to actualize successfully his governorship aspirations.
On this note, the Harvard University-trained Medical Doctor, the Accord Party candidate for the upcoming November 6, 2021, Anambra gubernatorial election, Dr Godwin Maduka further called on the good-spirited individuals and the general public to rally around to assist the fire victims in whatever way in order to alleviate their present pains.
