Northern youths release list of politicians they will consider supporting for 2023 presidency.

Ahead of the 2023 presidential election, an influential group in the north, Northern Youth Leaders Forum (NYLF), has disclosed the names of politicians they are considering to support for the number one seat.

Comrade Elliot Afiyo, the national chairman of the group, made the disclosure in an interview with a journalist,  According to Afiyo he said the group will consider supporting some candidates for 2023 presidency from the south and northeast geopolitical zones exclusively.

Northern youths group considers supporting Atiku Abubakar, Bala Mohammed, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu other names of the politicians the group said it may back in the next presidential election: 1. Atiku Abubakar . Nyesom Wike 5. Orji Uzor Kalu 6. Peter Obi, Afiyo said it is injurious and morally unjustifiable and unacceptable for somebody to come from the northwest to contest for the presidency in 2023.

Possible pairing The northern youths group also spoke about possible pairing they can consider supporting for the presidency.

Then Southwest 1. Bola Tinubu, 2. Kayode Fayemi 3. Yemi Osinbajo. Paired with: 1. Nasir El-Rufai 2. Abdullahi Ganduje 3. Simon Lalong 4. Atiku Bagudu 5. Babandende , former governor of Kano state and current chairman, Senate Committee on Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), Senator Kabiru Gaya has expressed his desire for the southern region of the country to produce the next president of Nigeria.

The Kano south senator said that with the completion of President Muhammadu Buhari’s eight-year tenure in 2023, it would be unfair for the north to vie for the nation’s number one position again.
