Bola Tinubu, 28 Governors-elect Take Oath Of Office Across Nigeria

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has taken his oath of office to emerge as the 16th  President of Nigeria,  even with the majority of Nigerians trending on social media that he is not their president, saying, they did not vote for him, having taken this oath,  Tinubu has been sworn in as your president, he will govern the affairs of Nigeria for the next four years except the court rules otherwise.

Alongside Tinubu, 28 governors-elect, and their deputies will be sworn in across the country.

Tinubu and Vice-President-elect, Kashim Shettima, have been sworn in at Eagle Square, Abuja today.

Tinubu’s inauguration, as the 16th President of Nigeria, marks the 7th consecutive democratic transition of power in the 24 years of unbroken democracy in Nigeria, following the return to civilian administration in 1999.


The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote has arrived at Eagle Square for the inauguration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the next President.

Also, present at the venue of the swearing-in ceremony are the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of BUA Group, Abdulsamad Rabiu, and the Executive Chairman of Geregu Power PLC, Femi Otedola.

Live Transmission of the swearing of President-elect Bola Tinubu and VP-elect Kashim Shettima will be broadcast via all National Television stations and FRCN.

Over 20 presidents of countries around the world, including Africas, usa are in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, to witness today’s inauguration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the 16th president of the country.

The newly elected governors who will be taking their oath of office today are Alex Otti of Abia State; Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State; Hyacinth Alia of Benue State; Bassey Otu of Cross River State; Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State; Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State; Peter Mbah of Enugu State; Umar Namadi of Jigawa and Uba Sani of Kaduna State.un, au

Others are Abba Kabir Yusuf, Kano; Dikko Umar Radda, Katsina; Nasiru Idris, Kebbi; Mohammed Umar Bago, Niger State; Caleb Mutfwang, Plateau State;  Siminialayi Fubara, Rivers;  Ahmed Aliyu, Sokoto; Kefas Agbu, Taraba, and  Dauda Lawal, Zamfara.

Re-elected governors who will also take fresh oaths of office for their second terms are Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State; Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State; Babagana Zulum of Borno State; Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe; Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State; Babajide Sanwo- Olu of Lagos State; Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State; Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State.

Tinubu is assuming office today as Nigeria’s 16th president since 1960 and the 5th supposed elected president since the return of democracy in 1999.
