Two sons of the chief judge of the federation justice Ibrahim Tanko have won the National Assembly tickets of the two major political parties in Nigeria for the 2023 general election.
The two sons of the CJN grabbed the tickets of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) respectively.
One of his sons, Siraj Ibrahim Tanko, grabbed the ticket of the APC for the Bauchi North Senatorial seat.
Ibrahim Tanko defeated the incumbent Senator representing the constituency, Senator Adamu Bulkachuwa.
Siraj polled 189 votes to defeat Imba, his closest rival who secured 177 votes while Bulkachuwa did not get any vote.
The other son of the CJN, Sani Ibrahim Tanko, won the PDP Primary election in the Shira Giafe Federal Constituency of the House of Representatives.
It was gathered that Sani Ibrahim Tanko was elected unopposed.
