In line with world cancer global day celebration, the Federal Government of Nigeria, Lagos University Teaching hospital ( LUTH) and NSIA Healthcare Development and Investment Company (”NHDIC”) Led by president Muhammad Buhari commissioned 11million dollar NISA CANCER CENTER in Lagos, on 9TH Feb 2019.
Till the time of filing this report, the centre still remains the highest in the West African sub-Sahara Region, poised to serve Nigerians and its neighbouring countries with world-class infrastructure equipment, among those who grace the occasion are, the 88years old first cancer specialist in West Africa Prof J Koffi Duncan, Governor Ambode of Lagos State, Emirs
and
among others.
Mr Uche Orji, the man behind the mark, CEO of NSIA was the man who made this laudable project a reality into Nigeria, He worked with luth management board under the chairmanship of Alhaji Isa Bello Sali , Honorable minister of health, Prof Isaac folorunso Adewole , Honorable minister of finance, Mrs Zainab Ahmed and many others.
The center will also have training school for oncologists and allied specialist in the cancer management team, which will enable other institution to benefit from as there is, a 10 years’ service/maintenance contract in place for each equipment to at least 95% uptime for the lifespan of ten years, from a united state of America based company where all the equipment was purchased from, in line with commissioning other two already finished build centres in NIGERIA for operation before the end of March 2019, which are, one in the north and another in the east stay tuned to this blog for full story coming your way as minister and Mr Orji speaks more on video shot,,,,,,,
